Mr. Maia is Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CHOICE. As Chairman, Mr. Maia has led the Board of Directors with members from Latin America, USA and Europe, creating an open, creative, cohesive and positive environment to explore multicultural perspectives and contributions with the goal to maximize the shareholder value creation.
Mr. Maia is a recognized entrepreneur, strategist and Global thought leader in analytics and utilities sector, with more than 20 years of experience in leadership and innovation. With a strong multicultural passion, Mr. Maia has led Choice’s international expansion, managing more than 10 nationalities successfully, reaching a CAGR over 80% and bringing more than USD 1 billion savings for its customers. Mr. Maia holds a BS in Computer Engineering from PUC-Rio, has participated at Babson College Alliance Program and holds Executive Education at INSEAD. Mr. Maia is also a member of the Compensation Committee.
As the Chief Technical Officer and co-founder of CHOICE, Mr. Cunha has been one of the chief architects of bringing CHOICE Revenue Intelligence™ to the market.
He has more than 20 years of experience in IT and Consulting and has worked in the energy sector since 2002 specializing in Revenue Assurance, Research & Development projects in the development of new software products and services. Mr. Cunha also possesses successful project management experience at international companies involving multicultural teams. With an Electronic Engineer degree from PUC-Rio, Mr. Cunha has extensive knowledge in Business Intelligence, Big Data and Cloud-based technologies. Mr. Cunha also serves on the CHOICE Board of Directors.
J. Kelley Williams, Jr.
Mr. Williams joined the CHOICE Board of Directors in 2013. He is a principal with the Greenover Group of companies which he co-founded in 1997.
Greenover and its affiliates manage investments ranging from publicly traded securities to privately held companies. Williams began working with start-ups and early stage companies seeking growth capital in 1996 while consulting for Venture Capital Report, Ltd., in Oxford, England, one of Europe’s oldest angel investment networks. Williams, who earned his BA from Vanderbilt in 1988 and MBA from Harvard Business School in 1994, has managed investments in and served on the boards of companies in the US, South America, and Europe.
Natalie de Chalus
Ms. de Chalus joined the CHOICE Board in 2013 and is the former CEO of Chalus Chegaray & Cie.
After 25 years in marine insurance and following a trip to California in 1999, Ms. de Chalus and her Chairman husband Vianney, decided to sell the centennial family business and redirect their business in various areas where technology would be a major booster: startups but also established businesses founded by determined leaders. Today, they invest directly or via family investments in a variety of industries including biotech, web content producers and publishers, mobile financial service platforms for the unbanked and most recently S2FNetwork, a founder of R Marina and R Cities, platform solutions based on wi fi for European marinas and cities.
Mr. Zarate is the General Manager of FCP Innovacion, the corporate venture fund of EPM, Colombia´s largest utility.
EPM is a $6 billion (USD) organization, with 58 operating companies across seven countries in Latin America, serving approximately 17 million clients across energy, water, waste and telco services. Mr. Zarate's career spans 20 years of experience in top management, private equity & venture capital, and business development in South America, North America, Europe and SouthEast Asia. Specifically in private equity, Felipe has participated in structuring, due diligence, investment and exit of an aggregate $1 billion (USD) across four funds in the USA and Colombia. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from EAFIT University in Colombia and an MBA from HEC School of Management in France.
Mr. Ramon is a recognized global general manager with over 22 years of successfully executing the international strategy and operations of technology companies, including two members of the Nasdaq-100, Peoplesoft and Akamai.
Today, Mr. Ramon, shares his global experiences by serving in the board of directors of promising technology companies located in USA, Europe and Latin America with an emphasis in global strategy and operational scalability. Mr. Ramon holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Baylor University and an SEP graduate from the Stanford School of Business. He is a global citizen who has lived in Brazil, France, Chile, Uruguay, fluent in four languages, and presently resides in the Silicon Valley, US. Mr. Ramon serves CHOICE as a Board Advisor.
